So many people died this year...not only because of natural disasters..but of others. we can hear a lot of who-who got killed and even a boy who i knew from highschool got beaten to death two hours or little more after we had a sip of drink. Not that people should be grieving in sorrows endlessly but way too much merrymaking is just too disturbing for me. It is so frequent that obviously outnumbered the previous years'. My mom has been to few wedding festivals and few more left to attend. Having all the hotels especially picnic areas been fixed in advance, new couples are having hard times finding a place for two-days wedding party which got posponed due to march incident. that's so far most people say why too much wedding going on in lhasa. However, one of my friends who recently came back to lhasa from shenzhen to have a proper wedding in tibetan way had hers cancelled, seeing the month to be unauspicious according to tibetan calender. Nowdays people get so easy going that even tibetans having hard time sticking up to their religious rules and beliefs.  A week or so ago, it was when the earthquake hit dangxiong county in lhasa. My sis and mom were at this wedding. The building started to shake while most people were playing mahjong. people were just out for safety temporarily and then went back to mahjong. I suppose they must have forgotten what had just happened. When asking my mom about this way too abnormal wedding going on in lhasa, she told me something she heard from others. Parents don't want to have their daughter get pregnant and be disgraced before a proper wedding ceremony. May be it's a part of tibetan culture which i don't know of. I am not being judgemental but uncomfortably happy for the new couples for there are so my unhappy moments to be remembered with their wedding momories. May be they truly understands what "get on with your life" really means....
